Publishes a record dated 21 Sept 1509 concerning an altarpiece commissioned by the sisters of S. Maria di Monte Domini, a convent outside Florence, taken by two sisters to a church dedicated to S. Giusto. Concludes that the altarpiece was painted for S. Giustone in Pietramarina on Monte Albano (Pistoia); suggests that the altarpiece may be one painted by Andrea del Sarto, mentioned in the Anonimo Magliabechiano, and that the predella of the Pietà with Saints in the Galleria Borghese, Rome, may have belonged to it.
