Traces the history of the fort, one of the three earliest in the territory that is now Kentucky. Fort Harrod was built in 1775 and used by settlers continuously until 1815, when it was probably abandoned. It was reconstructed in Harrodsburg approximately according to the original plans in the 1920s, and today functions as an historical educational site.
