Papers include: Ornella Casazza on the history and technique of panel painting in antiquity and in Italy, 13th-16th cs.; Elio Corona on the wood of supports, exemplified by Italian and Northern paintings of the 9th-17th cs.; Marco Ciatti and Ciro Castelli on cases of treating wooden supports of the 13th-16th cs.; Anna Gambetta on biological problems and their prevention; Marco Fioravanti on species of wood used for supports; and Luca Uzielli on damage caused to panel paintings by changes in temperature and humidity.
