Studies two oil sketches by Pierre Peyron - Belisarius Receiving Hospitality from a Peasant (1779) and Cornelia, Mother of the Gracchi (1781) - recently acquired by the National Gallery (London), and reports on how scientific analysis informed the recent conservation of the works.
