Abstract (en)

Studies a stained-glass window by Valentin Bousch, which depicts the Creation of the World and the Expulsion from Paradise (1531-1533; private collection), in the context of its original location in the former priory church of S. Firmin (Flavigny-sur-Moselle) and its commission by Prior Wary de Lucy. Notes relation of the cycle to the theme of predestination. Other parts of the cycle remain in place or are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) and S. Joseph (Stockbridge).
