Uses documents in the Archivio di Stato (Naples) to reconstruct what a palace, built over a period of 20 years at the end of the 17th c. for the lawyer Francesco D'Andrea and no longer extant, looked like. Describes the project, the palace, and its gardens. Transcribes the relevant documents.
