Laurel Reuter recounts her founding of the Museum of North Dakota (Grand Forks), including its near-destruction in 1997, and describes some of her many curatorial endeavors. Incorporates discussion of site-specific installations by South African artist Georgie Papageorge, and Reuter's experiences as a curator of a visiting exhibition in Beijing at the time of the Tiananmen Square demonstrations.
