Traces the provenance of a landscape featuring a pollard willow by van Gogh, dating from November 1885, shortly before the artist left Brabant for good. The painting (collection F. van Lanschot Bankiers) was left behind with van Gogh's mother, who gave it to a carpenter, and it then was sold to an art dealer in Rotterdam in the early 1900s.
