Abstract (en)

Outlines the history of the collection of paintings of the Pescatore Museum, Luxembourg, which was assembled from the collections of two earlier collectors: King Willem II of the Netherlands and Baron van Nagell van Ampsen. Shows how Abraham Bredius and Jean-Pierre Pescatore were instrumental in the creation of collections in The Hague and Luxembourg.
