A desk-top study and field evaluation led to the discovery of evidence for a site of medieval date. This was subsequently excavated, revealing the remains of a medieval farmstead. Gives an interpretation of the site which was abandoned before 1348. Pottery recovered provides a clue to continued activity in the vicinity into the 15th and 16th cs., which may suggest that the site still made up a part of the Scadbury estates. Finds include medieval pottery, ceramic building materials and metalwork, and stone - probably building stone.
