A study of Medieval saints' cults in the diocese of Faenza. Examines the architecture and archaeological finds of Medieval parish churches (9th-13th cs.), observing a predominance of dedications to the Virgin Mary and Peter, Stephen and John the Evangelist. Notes that overall the Faentine saints' cults reflect the influence of Ravenna rather than Milan, and that many of the cults celebrate local martyrs, or depend on relics brought from the Holy Land.
