Abstract (en)
On the late 13th c. production of ceramics in Terranova (now Gela), a city founded (1230s) by the emperor Frederick II. Observes that the late 13th c. majolica pottery excavated at Terranova is probably an indicator that artisans from Caltagirone had settled there during the period of economic expansion (1270s) under Charles II d'Anjou.
