Studies the Argentine avant-garde actions of the 1960s, with a focus on the merging of the political and artistic in Rosario, culminating in Tucumán arde (1968 - seen at the Argentines General Confederation of Workers [CGT] in Rosario and Buenos Aires), where it was strongly asserted that aesthetic subversion ought coincide with social and political transformations. Notes the impact of the actions. Lists the principal organizers, including Graciela Carnevale, Noemí Escandel, Fernández Bonina, Lía Maisonnave, Aldo Bertolotti, Eduardo Favaro, Carlos Gatti, and Juan Pablo Renzi.
