Illustrated catalogue accompanying an exhibition of paintings and works on paper, organized to reexamine the emergence of abstraction in the work of Canadian artist Jack Bush between 1929 and 1955. Introductory essay by Michael Burtch, based in part on the artist's diaries, is organized into six chapters with extensive footnotes, and illustrated with photographs of the artist and his family.
