Studies the art of Siena in the 1570s and 1580s, recounting the circumstances of the "accademia" sponsored by Ippolito Agostini and hosted in his palazzo (Siena) and emphasizing the work of Prospero Bresciano, Cristoforo Roncalli, and, especially, Alessandro Casolani.
