Accompanies an exhibition devoted to the parodistic in contemporary Argentine art, 1960-1997, with a focus on works by Luis Fernando Benedit, Antonio Berni, Juan Carlos Distéfano, León Ferrari, Víctor Grippo, Alberto Heredia, Rubén Santantonín, Pablo Suárez, and Jorge de la Vega. Includes essays by the individual authors on the artistic and political contexts for the work, biographies and artists' statements (some interviews), a joint essay by the three principal authors on art collecting in Argentina, and a reflection on the art by Hector Olea, all interspersed with color plates of the exhibited works.
