Redevelopment in Norwich in 1990 provided a rare opportunity to study the structure of Norwich Castle bridge which is located on the southern side of Norwich Castle Mound. Demonstrates that the bridge is not the product of one or two major builds but a fluid system of improvement and restoration determined by its environment. However, although the main historical phases of the bridge's evolution are understood (12th-19th cs.), and sufficient information acquired to allow reconstruction drawings to be made, many questions remain to be answered.
