Abstract (en)

Examines painted copies (Modena, Istituto statale d'arte Adolfo Venturi) of portraits of painters from Reggio nell'Emilia, and studies the relations between the academies of art in Modena and Reggio. Observes that the Scuola di belle arti (now the Istituto d'arte Gaetano Chierici) in Reggio was administratively dependent on the Accademia Atestina (now the Istituto statale d'arte Adolfo Venturi), Modena, and that the academies collaborated and operated according to the same standards.
