Examines the architectural and conservation history (18th-20th cs.) of the 16th c. entrance-hall to the cloister in the Carthusian monastery of S. Maria degli Angeli, Rome. Identifies the iconography of the mural paintings (discovered during cleaning, late 1980s) as the Seven Virtues, notes the stylistic influence of Guido Reni, and dates them to the early 17th c.
