Abstract (en)

Studies the Chapel of the Bd. Giovanni Orsini (Trogir, S. Lovro). Posits that the humanist Coriolano Cippico is the author of the chapel's program. Asserts that Giovanni Dalmata's statue of S. John the Evangelist is a portrait of Coriolano's son Alvise - based on similarities to a relief in the Palazzo Cippico Piccolo here attributed to Niccolò di Giovanni Fiorentino. Discusses the political ambitions of Coriolano Cippico and their relation to the work in the chapel.
