Discusses a pair of silver standing cups recently sold at Christie's as the work of Edward Barnard and Sons, 1829-1830. Shows that only one cup is Barnard's original work. The second is a heavier and somewhat inferior copy made ca.1830-1850, presumably at the behest of the Calcutta retailer Hamilton & Co.
