Catalogue for an exhibition of 82 Turner watercolors, 1792-1851, from the Manchester City Art Galleries and the Whitworth Art Gallery. The works are mainly landscapes, plus a few architectural subjects. With two introductory essays: "Turner, topography, and watercolor," by Charles Nugent; and "Collectors of Turner watercolors in nineteenth century Manchester," by Melva Croal.
