Describes a 13th c. residential castle in Paphos, which was destroyed in 1222 (not long after it was built) by an earthquake, sealing it off and preserving a great deal of evidence of the lifestyle of the crusader knights who inhabited it. On the basis of the form of the castle itself as well as its contents, suggests that it was built by Hospitallers.
