Addresses the increase in fake pewter from the beginning of the century, examining who may have produced them and schemes to counter their production. Wrong pieces produced during the late 1920s and into the 1930s are called Neate pieces, after Richard Henry Neate. However, there is no evidence one way or another that Neate ever made a piece of pewter as a forgery.
