On Ottavio Semina's activity (1560s-1580s) as a painter (chiefly of religious subjects) in Milan and its environs. Examines literary evidence, mural paintings and drawings. Observes that Ottavio collaborated with his brother Andrea for several commissions, including the frescoes in Palazzo Marino, Milan.
