Describes the villa of Elisa Bonaparte in Villa Vicentina, and the architectural renovations and garden designed (1818-1819) by the architect Charles de Sambucy. Sambucy also carried out excavations for the Napoléonides at Aquileia, and the archaeological finds were brought to Elisa's villa to be displayed in the garden.
