Abstract (en)

Michael Schilkin was a central Finnish ceramist. His role in the Arabia porcelain manufactory, his foreign exhibitions 1937-1955, and his production are introduced in five articles by Tuija Tervo, Harri Kalha and Leena Ahtola-Moorhouse. Schilkin is known for his ceramic sculpture and reliefs. Animals and exotic motifs are typical of his work.
