Discusses the careers of the Nürnberg painter Johann Philip Lemke and the Swedish engraver Georg Christoph Eimmart in the royal palace in Stockholm during the 17th c. Compares the works of Lemke and Eimmart, especially portraits, with those of other Swedish court artists such as the painter David Klöcker.
