Identifies the two people memorialized in two obits in the Bury Psalter (third quarter 13th c.; Rome, Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, MS Reg. lat.12; known for its marginal line drawings) as Edgar, king of Scotland from 1097 to 1107, and Christina, his aunt and sister of Edgar the aetheling and S. Margaret. Considers how the presence of these obits in a psalter linked to eastern England reflects the complicated dynastic relationships of Anglo-Norman England in the 11th-12th cs.
