Abstract (en)

Proposes a theory of plate-length analysis based on the measurement of 42 pre-1350 English brasses. Observes what this analysis can reveal about changes in technique of manufacture from the late 13th to the mid-14th c., and notes how plate length can potentailly be used for the dating of brasses.
