The underlying theme of the volume of essays presented to Robin Middleton is the architectural effects and philosophical implications of fragmentation in architecture since the mid-18th c. Includes a homage to the dedicatee by Barry Bergdoll, a bibliography of his scholarly and critical publications, 1959-2005, a series of photographs by Perry Ogden of the "fragmented" interior of Middleton's former New York dwelling/study, and "Raymond Roussel: 'LA coi RELama-pré-fer en sac-OSE-deux Sa-fine S aide SONEC-LA'," by Philippe Duboy.
