Interview with Hou Hanru, curator of the exhibition Zone of urgency (50th Biennale di Venezia, 2003) which featured installation art and videos among other forms of contemporary southeast Asian art. Focuses on the response of predominantly Chinese artists to American politics since 9/11, Chinese politics, and urbanism.
