Discusses the Out of Sight Art and Craft show (2003), held at two venues in Christchurch: the University of Canterbury, School of Fine Arts Gallery, and Canterbury Museum. The exhibition features photographs, taken by Margaret Dawson, which are based on etchings of Netherlandish artist Jozef Israëls. Deals with Dawson's collaboration of artists and craftsmen from the South Island to create photographs representing Israëls's themes of isolation and endurance.
