Reviews The final sleep = Le dernier sommeil: an installation by Spring Hurlbut (Toronto, Royal Ontario Museum, Institute of Contemporary Culture, 28 Apr-12 Aug 2001), an installation of natural specimens (such as embalmed animal carcasses) and cultural objects (such as a 19th-c. corset) intended to provoke contemplation about life and death. The artist selected the exhibited material, whose display was sometimes encased and other times interactive, from the museum's permanent collection.
