Reviews Constable: le choix de Lucian Freud (Paris, Grand Palais, 10 Oct 2002-13 Jan 2003), focusing on Freud's selection and interpretation of Constable's paintings and sketches as the exhibition's curator and as a contemporary British artist. Notes that while Constable influenced 19th-c. painters in France more than in his native Great Britain, this is the first Constable show in Paris since 1824.
