- Examines UNESCO's inclusion of Henry van de Velde's 1904-1911 Weimar art school buildings in the cultural heritage domain of "Bauhaus buildings in Weimar and Dessau" despite their pre-Bauhaus construction, concluding UNESCO set a new precedent for protecting not only significant architecture, but also the ideas accompanying it. Dicusses the buildings' significance and reception.
