Abstract (en)

Studies the relationship between architecture and memory with reference to the Pantheon's influence on the Italian architect Aldo Rossi (e.g., the Bonnefanten Museum, Maastricht) and the American architect Louis I. Kahn. Discusses several other buildings designed by Rossi that associate the present with the past, such as the Teatro del Mondo made for the 1979 Biennale in Venice (destroyed).
