Abstract (en)

On 19th-c. print images of the Shaker village of Canterbury, located northeast of Concord, NH. The author publishes a view of the village, published in the Nov 1835 number of The American Magazine of Useful and Entertaining Knowledge, that served as the basis for subsequent views of the village for nearly 50 years.
