Abstract (en)

Transcribes and interprets Latin inscriptions in the medieval rock-cut church of SS. Andrea e Procopio, Monopoli. Finds that the inscriptions refer to the construction, dedication, and patronage of the church. Also discusses the presence of graffiti with cross and ship symbols. Observes that representations of ships are frequent in rock-cut churches in the Puglia region, and should probably be interpreted as ex-voto images.
