Abstract (en)

On Roman spolia, 4th-6th-c. architectural elements, sarcophagi, tombstones, pottery, and other early medieval archaeological finds excavated (late 20th c.) in the S. Gilla area of Cagliari. It appears from the finds that the ancient habitat was abandoned, 2d-1st-c. B.C.E. and reinhabited during the late Roman and early Byzantine periods, and that there was military and religious architecture on the site during the Byzantine period.
