L'auteur examine la question d'une influence des intérieurs de Mackintosh sur l'art de Josef Hoffmann. Elle rappelle la réception de Mackintosh à Vienne lors de la huitième exposition de la Sécession. Cependant, elle relève les différences d'approche des deux artistes.
